Oven baked Falukorv
Falu sausage baked with onion and tomato
This is a very popular dish in Sweden - no wonder! It is easy to cook and very good!
Serves 4
800 g Nisses Falukorv
1 large onion
5 tablespoons mustard (Deli Mustard for example)
400 g tomatoes
2.5 cups of grated cheese - cheddar for example
salt, black pepper, garlic powder, chilli flakes, fresh parsley
1. Slice the sausage. Halve and slice the onions, slice the tomatoes. Line up the sausage in a ovenware, add a layer of mustard on each slice of sausage. Add a slice of onion and a tomato slice on each slice of sausage. Add spices to taste and set at 225 ° C for about 20 minutes.
Remove the ovenware and sprinkle with grated cheese. Set additional 5 minutes. Remove from oven and garnish with fresh parsley.
Serve the sausages with boiled rice or mashed potatoes
